Not every city has a single dish that attracts food aficionados from afar, so it comes as something quite special that Rochester boasts multiple claims for ranking as a standout on the food front. Abbott’s Custard, a frozen treat available at Ontario Beach Park and other Abbott’s locations throughout Greater Rochester, is enough to draw steady crowds from miles around. White Hots, invented in Rochester nearly a century ago, are now shipped nationwide for aficionados who can’t bear staging a barbecue without.
